PLAGIARISM POLICY

The Journal of Accounting, Management, and Economics (AME) is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and has a strict policy against plagiarism and other forms of research misconduct.
All submitted manuscripts may undergo plagiarism and similarity screening using appropriate detection tools during the editorial and peer-review process. The purpose of similarity screening is to identify potential cases of plagiarism, inappropriate text reuse, duplicate publication, and other forms of unacceptable overlap.

Plagiarism includes, but is not limited to:

  • copying text, ideas, data, figures, or other intellectual work without appropriate attribution;
  • presenting another person's work as one's own;
  • substantial or inappropriate reuse of the author's previously published work;
  • manipulating citations or sources to conceal the origin of material; and
  • submitting substantially similar work to more than one journal.

Similarity scores are not interpreted automatically as evidence of plagiarism. The Editors assess the nature, extent, and context of any identified similarity before making an editorial decision.
Where plagiarism or other forms of academic misconduct are suspected, the journal may request an explanation or supporting documentation from the authors. Depending on the severity of the case, the manuscript may be returned for revision, rejected, withdrawn, or, where necessary, further action may be taken in accordance with the journal's Publication Ethics policy.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that all sources, quotations, ideas, data, and other materials used in their manuscripts are properly acknowledged and cited.
